Black and White

Hey!

Happy Monday! Definitely happy for me, (even though I had to drive through ice and snow this morning with more snow predicted later this week), because I received my prize from PTI for the GSS Contest! Turning a New Leaf is in my possession and just begging to be inked up so expect to see it featured on a card sometime soon!

The card I'm sharing with you today was created for our shiny new challenge on our PTI Blog; to create a black and white card. I love the elegance and style sticking to a black and white combo gives a card:

Can you tell I'm still loving using the masking technique with my Friends 'til the End flower?! I wanted to keep things pretty simple so just mounted the image onto some foam pads and drew a border around it with my trusty white gel pen. Nothing too fancy but simply and classic methinks!Card Recipe
Stamps: Friend 'til the End
Ink: Versamark
Cardstock: True Black
Accessories: White Detail Embossing Powder/3D Foam Pads/White Gel Pen

Why not join in our challenge and think black and white next time you're having an inky session? I'd love to see your take on the challenge!

Before I leave I'd just like to say thanks to those who have shared their first creations with me for my Blog Candy! I've loved what I've seen so far and seeing how far some of you have come on your creative journeys - there's hope for me yet LOL! Though I have to say that you all had fabulous cardmaking style from the start of course ;D

Catch ya later!

Oh, wow!! this is fantastic!! I love, love, love the white on black. so sophisticated!! Would be great for wedding cards :) Ah, your men's curling gave us a run for our money...!!! Are we still friends? I must say our men's team is a power house...they've been winning everything at home over the last few years. I'm also looking through photos of my first cards that I've photographed...didn't always do that so maybe I'll link to my first Splitcoast card and my first blog picture from last summer...

Happy Anniversary Aimes! This card is a stunning creation! Your projects are always spectacular! I started stamping long before I started sharing cards online so I don't have photos to share but I can tell you they were BAD. I wonder what I could have been thinking with some of the crazy things I put on cards! It's funny to think about now though!

Love your card--so classy! There is something so striking about black and white. Happy blog anniversary! I never got a photo posted of an early card. Didn't take many pictures then! And how fun to receive your PTI prize. Now I'm anxious to see what you create with leaves!
