Happy Friday-Eve! :)
I'm celebrating my Friday-Eve the usual way here on the blogeroo with a fabulous new CASE Study....and when I say fabulous, I mean FAB-U-LOUS!
The month of May is upon us and brings us a new muse. A muse that I've been secretly hoping for since CASE Study started. A muse that is a total stamping crush of mine. A muse that needs no introduction. The one and only, Maile Belles! :D
And now we have Maile on board, I'm finding it tough to CASE her! Ha! I think maybe I put too much pressure on myself....I struggle sometimes to CASE someone whose style is similar to my own. Well it's pretty tough to CASE perfection. But anyways I digress, CASE away I did and today's card is a CASE of this one by Maile:
Check out the original post of this card here.
I was really taken with Maile's focal point - the way the flower hangs over the edge of her card and the use of patterned paper. The use of geometric-style paper cued me to use some of the newer Uniko Studio digital paper :)

- If you haven't got a coordinating die like the one Maile has used on her card, why not try outlining a stamped image in a faint grey marker instead? It makes those stamped images 'pop' a little more.
- Some people can't stand the thought of an unthreaded button, but I think it can work for a graphic style card. For me, this design would have been waaaaay too busy if those three buttons were threaded.

Pssst! Did you hear? The CASE Study DT search has been extended! If I were you, I'd go for it! I'm biased, but it's a pretty awesome team to be on. *wink*
As always, thanks so much for stopping by today!

Aimes, I love this so much! Thanks for the tips! Have a sunny Friday-Eve! ;)
Oh wow Aimes! I love this! Did you fussy cut the flowers or somehow use a portion of the die? Absolutely incredible CASE of Maile!
An awesome CASE Aimes! You have no need to worry about your credentials vs. Maile's, lol! And I agree about the buttons - sometimes they should just shine on their own, like they do here!
beautiful card, Aimes. Love the melon and mint color. Really enjoy your tips& tricks.
If ever a CASE was a perfect CASE, this is the CASE! Your card is spectacular, Aimes!! And thank you for serving up tips with your inspiration!!
gorgeous card, I like an uncovered button too!
Gorgeous card Amy - a perfect CASE! Love your masked flowers. And I am usually a 'must-thread' type, but you're right, these buttons are perfect, even in their nakedness ;)

Hey Lynn, no dies at all were used on this card. I did indeed fussy cut those flowers; I think it was worth the effort. ;D
