Friend, you are my sunshine...

Friend
Hey!

Happy Friday-Eve! Admittedly, when I'm on my summer holidays, the Friday-Eves of the week don't feel as sweet as they should. But still, I'm happy that it means the weekend is on its way soon and that in turn means time to chillax with some company. :)

So, have you recovered from CASE Study's fantabulous 3rd birthday festivities? Well don't get too comfy because CASE Study is about to turn it up a notch with one seriously awesome muse for August. Yup, we have the one, the only, Jennifer McGuire on board with us this month! *thud* I know! Amazing! I'm a HUGE fan of Jennifer's work so it's no surprise that I'm very excited this month. :)

So here we go CASE Studiers. We can legitimately CASE and be inspired by this fabulous card of Jennifer's this week:
Check out the original post of this card here.

I hope you can tell that I was inspired by the cool ray-like pattern. At first I was going for the same multi-coloured rays, but I couldn't resist making a sunshine. I think it fits so nicely with the theme of friendship. :)

And seeing as I've stamped a sunshine, I'm going to enter this card into the current Paper Crafts August Gallery Challenge. :)

tips and tricks
  • When it comes to stamping the rays, it's good to trace a light outline of where the circular panel will go.
  • Use patterned paper from one collection to ensure perfect coordination. The circle was cut from a solid yellow sheet of paper in the same collection as the chevron patterned paper.
  • Don't be afraid to mix and match embellishments. Here I've used items I found on my craft desk - a gem, a cool Heidi Grace brad-style sticker (thanks, Jen!), and a heart shaped button. I like to think it adds a bit of 'fun' to the design. :)
Now I'm multi-tasking today as I'm not only showing you my CASE Study card (and hoping that you'll play along with us!), but I'm also giving you a sneak peek at a new Uniko Studio set called All Occasion Sentiments #3 (Available for purchase August 11th). It coordinates so well with the other sets in the series, but I wanted to focus on this sentiment only. Check out how the rest of the Uniko Studio DT used this set to see just how great it is:
And of course, I'm sure you want to see what the rest of the CASE Study DT whipped up too - you won't be disappointed! As always, please join the fun and study along with us. Who knew that studying could be this fun, eh?! Ha!
