Window dressing...

Merry Christmas
Hey!

Happy Friday-Eve! First up, I'm sorry about the quality of today's picture. Turns out that those daylight hours are escaping from me and I'm having to point and shoot under artificial light. I much prefer natural daylight - I think it's clear from this photo to see why!

Apologies aside, today's card is for a brand new CASE Study. Not only that, but it's November too which means we have a new muse on board to CASE. So, without further ado, we have the fabulous Keisha Campbell with us. I'm pretty new to Keisha's work, but I like what I see. A lot!

This is Keisha's card up for the CASE Study treatment this week:

Check out the original post of this card here.

From Keisha's card, I was inspired to play with my Memory Box alphabet dies. I also adored her bow and played with twine to create my own. The layout encouraged me to run a new window die from the new Clearly Besotted Stamps release through my Cuttlebug too. I placed acetate behind i,t and applied sparkle medium (it's an embossing paste thingy) to the lower panes too give that frosty, snowy feel. :)

tips and tricks
  • No sparkle medium? No problemo! My buddy, and all-round inspirational crafter, Debby Hughes used Stickles on this card. Works beautifully!
  • Customise die cut letters to coordinate with your project. I smothered white letters with red Stickles for this card, but don't limit yourself to glitter: why not try flock or stamps?
  • To keep the die cut window flush with the front panel of card, I secured it on the reverse with washi tape. It's not fiddly and is only sticky on one side so there's no risk of it sticking to the cardbase underneath.
That's all from me today. I hope you're inspired by Keisha's card and play along with us! Be sure to check out the fabulous CASE Study DT, including our guestie for the month: another blogging buddy of mine, Amy Tsuruta! :)

Thanks for popping by here today. I'm hoping to catch some daylight over the weekend to take a better pic of this card. I can assure you that those letters spake soooooo much IRL!

Have a great weekend!
