R.I.P Corner Punch....

Hey!

Happy Friday eve my stampy peeps! Yup, totally loving the fact that I'm so nearly through my first week back at work (albeit with no voice and a horrid head cold - ugh!) and still managing to squeeze in a li'l inky time (just!)

Well you know that Friday Eve is not only an excuse to get excited about the weekend approaching, but also a chance to take part in a new CASE study! It's a new month, so we've got a new Muse to admire and CASE and I'm so excited to reveal that this month we have Mariana Grigsby!!! Oh how I love Mariana's style - I could well be literally CASEing everything from the creations we have coming up in the next few weeks *squeal*

But lets focus on this week's CASE study card of Mariana's which is equally as fabby:

Oh I know right? So bright, bold and fun too! So examined this CASE study, I got busy and created this:

I chose to CASE the layout, the colours (with a spot of green throw in *grin*) and the dry embossing. Sadly, my corner punch has kaput on me so I'm stuck with right angles for now - they feel so rigid and uncomfortable (hence the title of my post!) I'm so craving a rounded corner on everything I make now - typical! Need to get my hands on a corner chomper methinks....

Now feel free to CASE any aspect of Mariana's card and play along! Up for grabs is One Free Month of Club InBox! Members get what no one else gets: exclusive videos and tutorials, teaching you techniques, seasonal projects, mini-albums, cards and more courtesy of Catherine Pooler! So why not play along and check out what the rest of the CASE study DT came up with too?

I hope my card will suffice for my nephew's birthday which is coming up soon. Do you think I'd get away with it seeing as it has a girly flourish on it?!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Catch ya later!

What a fabulous card to case and what an equally fabulous card you've created Aimes. Love it, as I'm sure your nephew will too. And the flourish is fab and I never clocked it as a not boyish. Think I will try and play along this week.

Amy, your cousin will be delighted! The flourish doesn't look girly on this card at all! You knoecked my socks off with this little number... it's delicious!
I'm sorry that your corner rounder died! Have you tried cutting bt hand? I know it sounds crazy (at least to some, haha), but that's whayt I do all the time :) I don't own any corner rounders, I use a simple school circle template and a pencil, to draw the shape on the card, and cut it with scissors. It's quicker than you might think, works perfectly and I've got all kinds of sizes available :)
I know that you probably go and buy a corner Chomper anyway, but I just wanted to share, lol!

I think there is a virus going around. My corner rounder also bit the dust. And I'm convinced that the chomper is the only way to go. Fun card today! Great colors and so refreshing to see a star.

Go for the corner chomper, will be an investment you will never regret- a real asset to your stash-lol!!! You card is fabulous, I really don't think it is missing the rounded corners, your nephew will never notice the flourish, the stars will take his attention!! :)

Beautiful, Aimes! I love Mariana's style. Your stars are so pretty. Hope you can find a corner punch soon...I've heard great things about the corner chomper but I have yet to try it.

Ah, here's your chance to get a Corner Chomper! I have been tempted as they look so awesome but can't justify since I have three corner punches! Awesome card--the flourish just creates a starry sky effect--not girly at all--perfect for your nephew!

This is totally cool for your little nephew Aimes and I bet he doesn't even notice the flourish behind those funky stars. I love your setiment and I love how you managed a "splash" of green in there!
Your corner punch is deffinately missed .....it's not you without a corner missing lol. It's something I've noticed you do and really has a huge impact on the card. Hopefully you'll grab one soon, that has got to be your trade mark sig Hun!
Have a great week, what's left of it!

Perfect excuse to get a corner chomper Aimes - once you get one you'll never go back, hehe! Now, onto your card! Just love the colours and those stars! The flourish is a perfect detail I think - and not girly at all!
