I'm zooming by today with a couple of quick cards to share with ya for a li'l challenge I set myself this month.
I challenged myself to play along with all of the Viva La Verve sketches in August. I've always wanted to do a whole month of sketches and knew that realistically the best chance I'd get to do it would be during the summer holidays.
Now theses sketches are sometimes real challenges for me because there always looks like so many daunting layers on them! I have to kick my CAS mojo into gear and set on CAS-ifying 'em (I hope it's OK to do that!)
Without further ado - my final two cards:
This card is dedicated to summer - it's dull and cool here today and I really feel like summer has gone for this year now. Miss it like crazy already :(
This was for the week 4 sketch:

This next one uses up a slither of my stash of DP (yay for me!) as it's a diddy card:
Also finally inked up my tiny tags set! It's sooooooooooooo sweet that I could just gobble it up! LOL! Oooh and I coloured my originally white twill lavender to get some colour coordinated ribbon :)
Here's the original sketch for week 5:

So there you have it! I'm off to link these cards up now for the Mega Viva La Verve Sketch Champions! Almost feel like a champion for doing what I challenged myself to do - maybe I should reward myself with a sweet treat....*grin*
Don't forget that my digi giveaway is still open! I've not got many entries for it so the odds are good for those of you who have entered. *wink*
Thanks so much for stopping by - see you tomorrow for a brand new CASE study and with it, a fabulous new muse!
Catch ya later!

Beautiful! I love the pretty color combos--especially the yellow and lavendar! You did a great job with the sketches!
oh, Duchess!! You ROCK these sketches with your CAS design!! LOVE your interpretations :) That first one with the aqua and my beloved berry sorbet is making me drool here in my classroom!! I miss the summer like crazy too...next time it comes around, it will be your birthday :) LOVE the patterned papers with the lilac ribbon :) Delicious!! You most definitely deserve a sweet treat, maybe even 2 for each fabulous card :)
I think it is wonderful when you CASify something. I love these clean and simple takes!
Seriously...I am in LOVE with how you CASified these sketches...they are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous Aimes! I really love the first one!
These are just totally beautiful! I love your interpretation of the sketches!
These are both fabulous cards Aimes! I do love your CAS style ... Ange
Love seeing you CASify something. Just a touch of your magic and they are CAS winners! Love the colors on both. Berry Sorbet is always a favorite plus love that sentiment; and the yellow & lavender with that little tag & bow is such a beauty!
Absolutely love your take on the sketches...just beautiful and CAS. :)
Hi Aimes
I also look at some of the sketches and get a bit spooked by the layers but you have done a great job in CASifying the. I reallt like the first card-so simple yet stunning.
