New tyre or new stamps...?

Hey!

Oh what a week! It's not only been super busy with our last week of school before half-term but it's been a bloomin' expensive one too: yesterday I had the joy of finding I had a flat tyre that needed to be replaced as I set off for work - eek! Oh the trauma of having to get my priorities in order with my pennies! As much as I was saving for some new crafty goodies with those pennies, the silver lining of this boo-boo is that I'll be getting my money's worth with my current crafty supplies when it comes to my Christmas cards this year!

Speaking of which, I have a prime of example of this to celebrate our new CASE study with on this fine Friday-Eve :)

Niki Estes is proving to be a very inspiring muse and has already achieved the impossible: inspiring me to create a Christmas card in October! Can she do it once again with this beauty of hers?

Check out the original post of this card, here!

Of course she can! :D

Merry Christmas

It's hard to tell on the pic (daylight hours are fading so quickly now!) but there's a musical background stamped on my card base. I was inspired by Niki's stamped background, layout and colours to come up with this card. I wanted that bow to look like this card had been wrapped up just like a Christmas gift.

Now I went down the Christmas route with this week's CASE study but be sure to check out the route the rest of the CASE study DT went on for your viewing pleasure this week!

Iwona Palamountain (Chupa)
Andrea Ewen
Clare Buswell
Debby Hughes
Teresa Kline
Cristina Kowalczyk
Jean Martin
Julie Smith
Teneale Williams
Niki Estes (October's Muse)

And then be sure to ink up and play along with us!

OK so I've gotta do some serious thinking now my Christmas crafting budget is in the form of a rear, near-side tyre! I'm gonna need some serious inspiration so I'll be stalking Blogland as soon as I can :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today - your visits and comments are appreciated so much! (yes, even you lurking on Google Reader *wink*)

Catch ya later!

Hi my sweet friend! Your card is so classy - love it! And I am able to see the background perfectly well! I hope many of those lurking on Google Reader will leave a comment :) Is there a way to see how many are lurking there? Have a beautiful day! Vanessa x

Gorgeous card, Aimes! Bummer about your tyre - hope you get it all sorted with some crafty money leftover for Christmas. We're moving house this week so I understand putting buying on hold :-(

This card is so gorgeous!! Its simplicity is ideal for mass production, as well!
Just a note, I haven't been receiving the email updates from this blog that used to find my Inbox... This happened at CAS-ual Fridays and my own blog as well and Michelle fixed it (and coached me to fix mine) by Resync-ing the feed.
Just thought I'd let you know!

Ouch! thats a blow to your purse but then again I'm sure you will work wonders with the Christmas stash you have, exactly as you've done here :)
Love that musical background and stitched ribbon trim.

Sorry to hear about your tyre Aimes, what a bummer!
Still, it's possibly a good thing as you said -now you get to ink up the stamps you already have in a brand new light! I'm not a fan of buying loads and loads of stamps because I always think "do I need anymore"? The answer is normally "WANT & YES", but I always feel so guilty about those gathering dust in my IKEA boxes :(
I bet you'll do an awesome job and with all that PTI you have, you'll have no probs!
Love your card, the music note background gives in a gorgeous, elegant feel, perfect for Christmas.
Happy crafting,
Katie xx

Ooh, I'd loved this when I saw it over on the CASE Study blog, but now I love it even more seeing the detail of the music background! The dark green background is so striking, especially with the pops of red for accents. Gorgeous!

Bummer on the tire, but I have a story about spending 3 days in the middle of nowhere with major car trouble b/c of a blown tire, so you'll be happy you spent the money, and if you start lusting over new crafting goodies I'll tell you the story in great detail... Fabulous card, didn't notice the musical notes till you mentioned it.

You note Re: google reader made me chuckle - I confess I'm usually one of those lurkers. Don't get nearly enough time to comment on all the blogs I want to anymore. And I'd rather lurk than totally unsubscribe IYKWIM! Rx
