From a leaf to a Christmas tree...

Hey!

Taking a brief pit-stop from the TCM October Release Festivities to welcome Friday-Eve in the usual manner:

You guessed it. Time for another CASE Study. And time for yet another fabulous card from our muse, Julia Stainton to admire and CASE:

Check out the original post of this card here.

I was taken by aspects of Julia's layout, the use of felt and the sweet strip of card upon which the sentiment is stamped. I took yet another Holiday-esque approach to my stamping (please, somebody stop me, this isn't normal to have so many Christmas cards whipped up so soon!)

Happy Holidays
Tip: Mix and match sentiments from different sets for a custom stamped sentiment in a font you desire! Here I stamped 'Happy' from the set, Modern Basics and 'HOLIDAYS' from a longer sentiment I masked from the set, Stocking Prints.

Simple red buttons turn this leaf die into a Christmas tree! So very, very simple and fun too. I stamped a panel of gingham down the side of my focal point to echo Julia's gorgeous green gingham on her original card.

I'm keeping it super short and sweet today (I have A LOT to get done before we break up for half term and before my guy and I jet away for a week!) but be sure to get a mojo boost by checking out the rest of the CASE Study DT:

And after all that inspiration - ink along with us and join in the fun! :)

Thank you soooooooo much for your visits to this corner of Blogland - they're much appreciated!

Catch ya later!

Beautiful card Amy - I love that leaf die but I'm always put off buying intricate shpaes like this, as I get squidgy blobs of glue squelching out the edges when I fix them down. Even with my glue pen (I thought that would solve it, but no!)
How do you keep the clean look?!! And hope you don't mind the questions - do you know if Poppystamps dies are available in the UK or did you get it from overseas - I've been trying to find a supplier...? Thanks in advance for any help you can give! Rx
PS, hope you have/ have had a fabulous time in Canada ;)
