Border Punch Scraps = Shaker Card

Love You

Hey!

It's Friday-Eve so that means only one thing: Time for a new CASE Study! AND as it's the first challenge of the month, CASE Study is welcoming the talented Amber Kemp-Gerstel as January's muse.

My card today is inspired by the sweet hearts and crisp, white space on this beauty of Amber's up for studying this week.

Acetate is a pain for me to photograph so here's my card - Take 2! *wink*

Love You Confetti

I think I must have had the Polaroid frame in my mind after tinkering with my profile pic for this blog makeover. Give the card a little shake to see those hearts dance and beat away :)

tips and tricks
  • Pair dies to make custom shapes. I created my DIY Polaroid frame by pairing a rectangular & a square Nestability die!
  • Keep the scraps! My mini-hearts are actually the leftovers from a lace heart border punch (Thanks, Diva!).
  • No busy backgrounds when it comes to this shaker card. I want my guy to focus on those hearts & their magic, as well as understand the card's message on first glance.
C'mon & study along with us this week. Need more mojo boosts? Well even if you don't, take a peek at what the rest of the CASE Study team whipped up (including our guest designer, Tasnim Ahmed)

Amy Wanford (That's me!)

Amber Kemp-Gerstel (January's Muse)

I'll be back tomorrow, hopping along with Uniko Studio so stay tuned & see you soon..!

Big huggy thanks too for the scrumptious (in more ways than one) felty-licious mushys at Christmas - couldn't stop 'touching' them lol.

I've loved Amber's card since I first saw it, but I'm thinkin' your totally CAS take on it may be even better. So much wonderful white.
I definitely have to give CASE a try again. (Couldn't do the Windy stuff:)

Love your new blog look and this sweet little card! You were so smart to keep the rest of the card pure white to really make those hearts pop!

eek! Duchess! I came to look at Chris' card and didn't comment! Please forgive! Especially when you gave me that sweet little shout out! You know, at the time, I was worried you would find no use for that border punch in you CAS style, but you always find a cool use! That's why you are a genius! I couldn't think of a lovelier card for your main squeeze than a thousand hearts :) {heart} you! ox
