A colourful hello...

hello cs
Hey!

Hip, Hip, Hooray for Friday-Eve! The final, yes final, Friday-Eve before we break up for the summer holidays is here! Oh, and time for yet another fabulous CASE Study to knuckle down as well of course! :)

So today's card was inspired by this great card by our July muse, Jocelyn Olson:

Check out the original post of this card here.

I'm hoping you can tell from my card how Jocelyn inspired me. It's those colours of course. What a lovely combo of colours. Something that I'm challenging myself to do more is to embrace colour and also dare to use coloured card-bases. OK, so brown is hardly a drastic move from a white cardbase but it's a start, right?! *wink*

tips and tricks
  • Size matters! Well, it does in the case of this card. This is a minutre version of your standard A2 card size purely because my focal panel would have looked lost on a larger card base. Try changing the size of your card bases to compliment smaller focal points.
  • To keep my strips of coloured card flush and together, I adhered them to a large piece of cardstock first and trimmed it down.
I hope you can check out what the rest of the CASE Study DT whipped up for your viewing pleasure. And as always, if you can, please join in the fun with us! We love to see how our muse's creations inspired your own creative adventures!

Thank you so much for still visiting this little corner of Blogland. I know I've been MIA recently, but the light at the end of the tunnel with a sign marked, 'Summer Holidays' is in my sight, and once I reach it, I'll have way more time to get myself organised with....well with everything! Ha!
