Happy Friday-Eve! Yes, unlike the crazy last week, I'm back on my regular blogging schedule so it's time for a fabulous new CASE Study. Apologies that I had to bail last week, there literally aren't enough hours in the day sometimes!
Ready to study along with us? I hope so! Check out and be inspired by this card by our muse, Joni Nina Andaya:
Check out the original post of this card here.
I was inspired by the layout of this card with the central sentiment and a frame around it filled with pretty flowers as well as those colours. Something else that inspired/influenced this card was the current, fabulous, Online Card Classes: One Layer Cards 3. The one and only, Jennifer McGuire, created stunning cards using a masking technique and this inspired me to have a go myself. This is my kinda homework. :)
I do love a good stamping session and stamping this, combined with the colouring, was just the kinda crafty therapy I needed after a chaotic schedule! I originally cut a circle from Clearly Besotted's Lovely Label Die Collection from a Post-It note and placed it in the centre of my card. Next, I stamped four full fuchsias stamps at 90 degree angles (making sure to stamp over slightly on the circular mask) and I then stamped the fuchsias buds in the gaps created. When I removed my mask, I noticed that the petals created a frame effect - bonus score! :D
A wash of sparkles from my Wink of Stella pen and few coloured pearls finish the frame off. I think my picture captures at least some of the sparkles on this but times them by a million to get the full effect! :)
I hope you can join in the CASE Studying fun with us! Be sure to check out the full deets of the challenge over at CASE Study HQ and see what the rest of the fabulous CASE Study DT whipped up.
Right, back to the studying - Online Card Classes stylee; I'm loving the course and hope to find time to create. Maybe I need to invent a time machine, unless someone out there has invented one already...!
Have a great weekend and thank you so much for stopping by today! :)
