Hey!
Happy Friday-Eve! Are you ready to celebrate it in the typical manner here on the blogeroo with a new CASE Study? I hope so! :)
Up for studying this week is this lovely card from our muse, Jaclyn Miller:

Check out the original post of this card here!
It doesn't take much for a butterfly to catch my eye as the sweet, small one on Jaclyn's card did. That, combined with the heart, and use of patterned paper gave me the perfect excuse to get busy with some more of the Authentique Classique: Elegant 12 x 12 collection as well as a beautiful Clearly Besotted Stamps elegant butterfly stamp and coordinating die. :)

I was also inspired by the way Jaclyn had created a sentiment from strips of typed words and did the same with my card using various word stickers from the same Authentique collection.

- The mini peg was quickly coloured with my white gel pen to give it a more faded look that coordinates nicely with the papers.
- I really struggle with layers at angles - I like everything to be perfectly straight and neat! However, attaching a layer of paper underneath at a different angle helps to balance things out.
- To add more texture, I crumpled the white layer of paper and distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz distress tool. Scissors will achieve the same effect, but do be careful!
Check out the full deets of this week's challenge as well as the CASE Study DT call over at CASE Study HQ. You'll be treated to more wonderful, inspiring projects from the rest of the CASE Study DT over there too!
Right. Must dash. Got to make the most of the last few days of freedom before I head back to work on Monday!
Thank you so much for visiting by today and have a fabulous weekend!
