Inspired by Nature...

Hey!

Happy Friday Eve! LOL! How's your week been so far? Mine has been busy, busy though if you've not noticed already, I've found some time to decorate the blog a little...I was wanting a fresher look so what d'ya think? I'd love to get three columns sorted on here but my HTML skills aren't so hot after long days at work so that'll be work-in-progress I guess and will involve some major sucking up to my super geek guy ;D

Anyways, I thought I'd share a card with you that I made for our current challenge on our PTI blog!

The idea is to be inspired by nature. I'd love to say I've got these beautiful blooms outside my window but that would be fibbing. I can't wait for spring to come around now, I have to say I'm bored of winter now!

I've never been a huge fan of Melon Berry but I was determined to throw myself outta my comfort zone and get stamping!

I used a masking technique to stamp my blooms and leaves so they overlap nicely without the images merging into one another. I've also kept the masks I've made and already used them on another card that I'm really kinda excited about - though I'm saving that card for another day ;D

As the card base is Dark Chocolate, I decided to stick a nestie shape cut from vintage cream inside and stamp an additional bloom.

That border was soooooo easy to do - simply decided to draw around the acutal nestie with a white gel pen. I like the effect of that border. Now I only wish I had a gel pen filled with Vintage Cream ink....

Card Recipe
Stamps: Friends til the End
Ink: Dark Chocolate
Cardstock: Dark Chocolate/Melon Berry/Vintage Cream
Accessories: Cuttlebug/Nestabilities/Cream Vintage Buttons/Vintage Cream Satin Ribbon/Cream Ribbon Twine/White Gel Pen

Full deets of our challenge are on the PTI Blog. We had a fabulous turn out for our last challenge with plenty of inspiration so I'm hoping the same will be true for this challenge! Obviously I would love for you to play along, you need only use one PTI product on your creation to qualify!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous FRIDAY!

Catch ya later!

Pretty card! Love how you outlined the nestie with your gel pen. Great idea! Excellent look to the blog. Yes I think we all would like warmer days to come and stay now. I know I won't see any signs of spring until almost May! Thanks for the challenge.

The new look of your blog is great! The card is wonderful too. I was not a fan of melon berry either but just opened it a few days ago and am using it with dark chocolate now too. They make a great combo. Love the masking and the inside as well. The white outline is a great added touch too.
