Digging for....eggs?!

hoppy Easter
Hey!

Hello, Tuesday. Hello, peeps. Ready for another Clearly Besotted Stamps sneaky peeky at the February release? I hope so! Remember: all new stamp sets and dies are available to purchase from Wednesday February 5th @ 22:00 GMT.

New to the sneaky peeks? Check out my previous peeks here, and here (said in my best air hostess voice and pointing to the exits LOL!)

Today's card takes two new sets, 'Garden Fresh' and 'Hoppy Easter', to create a punny, interactive card. Interactive you say? Well sure it is. Let's just do some digging; that cute rabbit is looking hungry:

hoppy Easter 2
Oh. What do we have here? This rabbit was hoping (or should that be hopping? Someone please stop me!) up for a carrot, but I think we've just struck Easter-gold here:

hoppy Easter 3
Ha! Totally punny. Totally interactive. Totally can't wait to post this Easter card in April LOL!

tips and tricks
  • The green panel of patterned paper is raised up on foam pads and underneath I've created a vertical path with the foam pads as a border so the spade/egg doesn't slide across the card. Wish I'd taken a picture now!
  • The sentiment looked lost stamped directly on to the patterned paper so I simply stamped it on white cardstock, trimmed it down and adhered it to the front.
Just to stop you from scrolling up and down the pictures, here's an action replay of the moment this rabbit scored an Easter egg instead of a carrot:

Easter Collage
The rabbit, sentiment and Easter egg are from the set, 'Hoppy Easter'. The cute carrots, spade and spade die are from 'Garden Fresh'.

That's enough fun and peek-a-booing from me today, but if you want to check out some more sneaky peeks of the CBS February release then hop across to Stephanie who has more fabulous projects and links the rest of the CBS DT sharing sneaky peeks. You won't be disappointed! :)

Artistic license...

wish big
Hey!

Happy Monday! Awww c'mon and look at the bright side: with every passing second, we're edging closer to the weekend. *wink*

I'm back today with yet another Clearly Besotted Stamps' sneaky peeky of the February release. All products are available to purchase from 10pm GMT Wednesday February 5th.

Check out yesterday's sneak peek here. I've inked up a beautiful set, 'Dandelion Dreams' for today's project. I honestly think this could be my new favourite flower set. The accompanying sentiments and fonts are dreamy in addition to the beautiful dandelions.

Now I know that dandelions are not blue or purple but I took a little artistic licence here *wink* Any excuse to play with some Distress Inks. :)

Wanna see more? You know the place to go: Stephanie has even more wonderful inspiration with links to the rest of my wonderful CBS teamies sharing some more sneaky peeks!

I'll be back tomorrow with yet another CBS project. I hope you can stick around for it. Let me just say it's punny and interactive. My two favorite things LOL!

Until then, adios!

Seriously small onesies...

baby onesies
Hey!

Huh? February already? Where did it creep up on me from?! T-minus 13 days to get those slushy Valentine's projects done, peeps - lol!

Sorry, I digress. Happy Weekend (just!) I hope it's been a lovely weekend for you so far. For me it's been a case of some serious crafting with the new Clearly Besotted Stamps Feb release. That's right, it's time for us to give you a sneaky peek of what's going to be available to purchase from Wednesday 5th Feb @ 22:00 (GMT). :)

Today's sneaky peek combines two sets to create some seriously small onesie tags/cards. I used the die and onesie stamp from the set, Little Onesie, and the sentiments from the set, Special Delivery. When I say tiny, I mean teeny-tiny! They only measure 2" tall!

tips and tricks
  • Because these are so tiny, I plan to use these as gift tags. I've got it all planned out: wrap the present in parcel paper, decorate with twine and use a mini peg to attach the tag/card to the twine. A mini peg is all the go right now, but it's always been such a fitting embellishment for baby-themed projects.
  • It's easy to create shaped cards with dies. For these mini cards, I simply folded my base card in half and made sure the top of the onesie die overlapped the top fold as I ran it through my Cuttlebug. Be sure to run it through your die cutting machine a couple of times to ensure it cuts through both layers of card (or like me, be impatient and be prepared to do some cutting after taking it out of the machine!)
  • In order to get the mini cards/tags to stand, you will need to cut a straight edge on the bottom. The onesie die is rounded at the bottom but a simple snip across the bottom solves this. :)
Want more sneaky peeks? I'll be back tomorrow with another, but for now get your sneaky peek fix over at Stephanie's with additional links to the rest of the CBS DT sharing amazing projects today.

Alas, the household chores and books-to-be-marked are calling me. Better scoot. But before I sign off, here's one piece of advice I'll leave you with that I discovered from my crafting session yesterday: Tie long hair back when crafting, and Glossy Accents is not a good look for your hair. Go figure. Ha!
