Happy Monday! I'm on the official countdown now for the Christmas holidays: T-minus 10 working days and counting *wink*!
During the past weekend I had the chance to play with some new juicy A Muse inks and inked like mad to whip out some much needed cards for Christmas. Whilst I was at it, I couldn't resist playing along with the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge too:
This fun tic-tac-toe challenge led me pick a line of Green, Kraft and Chevrons (what else?!) and I got busy:
I opted for a super-modern Christmas tree using a simple masking technique with my trendy (and much neglected!) Background Basics: Chevrons set. I love that this card is postage friendly too, meaning no bulky envelopes or higher rates of postage to say "Happy Holidays" to family and friends :)
This is just one design of a few I have to share with ya...turns out that by simply playing with some fabulous new ink helps my mojo no end! However I must get back to whipping out and actually sending a few more Christmas cards before I start showing 'em on here!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Catch ya later!

This is such a clever and wonderful card. I'm also in love with my new Amuse inks, and do find that they add a bit of mojo to everything these days. I hope that you are healing well.
Owww, I wish I had made that card...I love the masked chevrons! Just perfect and you sparked an idea that turned into a card too :)

This is one *SERIOUSLY COOL* card Aimes ... one of those that makes you crack a smile while you're thinking "BRILLIANT"!! :0)!
oh, love the postal friendly card Duchess style :) Does that mean it's coming to Canada? LOL ;) Thanks for reminding me that I need to get my "International" cards in the mail soon :) I have just the right one in mind for you and Chris :) Yes, 9 days and counting until the holidays. We get out a week before Christmas which will be okay as we have 35 people here for Christmas...both families!! Did you go into work today? How's the ankle? Hugs, Duchess :)
Aimes, this is breathtaking!!! I need to rescue my chevron stamps from under the pile and start playing right now! Oohhh, the Amuse inks... I actually have a couple of Impress ones which I believe are the same, and I'm loving them!
Big hugs!

Fabulous idea and I love that you chose chevron--great classic look! Just got my first Amuse ink order and agree that they are wonderful. It's such fun just playing with the new colors!

This is incredible! I love how you made the tree and how wonderfully modern it is. :)
This is definitely a Christmas card I would love to receive! It's simple yet beautiful!
Amy, this is brilliant! I tried to do exactly the same thing - a masked chevron tree - but alas, my masking skills leave something to be desired... :( What do you use to mask with? The edges on the tree are so perfect!
