More orange but still no satsumas...

Hey!

Wa-hooo for Friday! So looking forward to the weekend; we've got nothing special planned and sometimes they're the kinda weekends I like the best :)

So I promised that I'd be back with my second card for the current (and very nearly ending!) Runway Inspired Challenge #10

I guess I really was inspired by those colours and for my second entry I was inspired by the colour blocking trend (I ignored the chevrons for this one!)

Happy Birthday

I truly colour blocked the orange, gold and black. The gold is some 'magic' card I picked up ages ago and when you stamp and emboss in clear ink and powder it gives this really cool foiled effect. (FYI: I reckon there's nothing magic about this card at all. I'd be tempted to experiment on any glossy, metallic card).

The only problem with this card is that it's a pain to photograph:

Happy Birthday

I hope you get the general gist of the design anyways! It's rare I design with a recipient in mind, but I have a friend who ooooozes style and this card is destined for her special day.

I wish I could say that these challenges make me a fashionista, but I would still look like a satsuma in that shade of orange - ha! Mind you, my guy reckons I'd be more of a clementine wearing this shade of orange: still very orange but very sweet too  (altogether now, 'awwww!' or 'bleugh!') Ha!

Have a fabulous weekend - whatever you're up to!

Catch ya later!

This is stunning Aimes, so stylish indeed!

And it's now my mission to find some of this gold 'magic' card, lol - any ideas on where to look for it?

Hugs!

So great to have you walk the Runway again! The gold gives off a magical effect, whether or not the paper is actually "magical!" So elegant.
